No way, Tropez

We don't care much for Saint Tropez. It's ugly and overcrowded.

Unless you've got a yacht

Which we have not.

But Elton John and David Furnish probably have which is why they are there.

According to Hello magazine
Cindy Crawford, Joan Collins and P Diddy have all been there this summer.

Told you it was over-crowded.

Prince William and Kate Middleton in The Seychelles

Apparently Kate Middleton is just back from her holiday in the Seychelles with one William Windsor aka Prince William.
According to Waleg they stayed at the "discreet Desroches Island resort -which has only 20 rooms!- in a luxurious £500-a-night suite!"

Actually, we think that's a bit stingy really given that the man is heir to the throne. Still, it's out of our league. We know our place. Unlike Kate's mum.

Amy Winehouse in the Caribbean

Apparently Amy Winehouse is on vacation in the Caribbean.

Apparently she's in St Lucia. Don't know where exactly. Anyone recognise that sun lounger? Doesn't look very posh to me.

You see - celebrities DO influence holidays

According to a press release (so it must be true) celebrities do influence holiday choices.
It says:

The cult of the celebrity has started to have an influence on Britons' holiday choices, according to a new survey.

Research by online travel provider Opodo.co.uk found that more than a quarter of respondents said that celebrity destinations influenced where they went on their holidays, as well as what they do and wear while away.

Fans of Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach picked Thailand as their holiday destination of choice, while the Lord of the Rings trilogy saw New Zealand rise in popularity.

(What? Not to Middle Earth???)

Some 68 per cent of men were influenced by the suave and sophisticated Bond star Daniel Craig, donning a pair of blue shorts on the beach in order to attract the ladies.

David Beckham's white Speedos also influenced 15 per cent of the male respondents and a brave five per cent followed the lead of Borat and his thong. A more demure 12 per cent went for the bold, colourful swimming trunks a la Jonathan Ross, which covered up a bit more.

Fearne Cotton, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham were among the most influential female celebrities when it came to what to wear on holiday.
