Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona says that she loves to rent a villa in Majorca with friends. She told Now Magazine top of her list when on the Balearic Island is to eat at the British restaurants and sing at the karaoke bars.

Maureen Nolan has been quoted in today's North Wales Daily Post as being thrilled at the prospect of staying in Llandudno.

Maureen shot to fame in the late 70's as one of The Nolan Sisters, delighting the record buying public with classic pop songs such as "I'm in the Mood for Dancing", "Attention To Me" and "Gotta Pull Myself Together".

Currently on tour with the hit show 'Girls Behind', Maureen will be sharing a beach house with co-stars Sue Devaney (Jonny Briggs, dinnerladies, Casualty), and Donna Hazelton, winner of C4's Musicality talent show.

It's almost time for International Caravan and Motorhome 2007 at the NEC, Birmingham (16-21 October 2007) and according to an article in today's Coventry Telegraph, caravanning is now now the height of celebrity cool.

According to the article, celebrity ‘cara-fans’** such as "Robbie Williams, Jamie Oliver, Jay Kay, Kate Moss, Lenny Kravitz and even Kylie have opted to enjoy retro holidays in caravans or motorhomes!"

Wow.

So, it's time to dust off the old-fashioned image of caravanning holidays (after all, formica tables, thermos flasks full of weak lemon drink and crab paste sandwiches are 'so' 1970's) and replace them with thoroughly fashionable, celebrity-endorsed, mobile homes of fun.

Just received a survey from Post Office Travel Services that shows top celebs are choosing to have breaks in the UK - well in 2007 at least. OK, so they live here, but holiday here in this weather?!

I'm going to do this in two parts. Today it's England and tomorrow it's Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Kylie Minogue have stayed in London at Claridges, The Dorchester, Covent Garden Hotel.

Jennifer Aniston, Sir Paul McCartney and Brad Pitt have all stayed at Barnsley House in the Cotswolds.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Claudia Schiffer are a bit partial to the British Riviera, having stayed in Rock, Cornwall. Still trying to find which accomodation.

Keeping it London commuter belt Cameron Diaz and Jack Black have dropped in to the Pennyhill Park Hotel, Bagshot, Surrey.

Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholson have savoured the funky and relaxed Babington House in Frome, Somerset.

Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel have hit Manchester's Lowry Hotel.

You can take the Beckham's out of the UK, but you can't take the UK out of the Beckham's. They, along with Nicole Kidman, have stayed at The Samling in the Lake District.

I'm a bit behind the times, but I just found this marvellously handy article on the hot holiday destinations for Hollywood celebs.

Apparently, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico is a handy two-hour flight from LA. Among the stars' favourites is the One and Only Palmilla Resort which has checked in Christina Auguilera, Kate Beckinsale, Eva Longoria and Sasha Baron Cohen among others.

Other favourites in Cabo San Lucas include the Esperanza resort (above), where Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have stayed and Las Ventanas (chosen by Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony),

The Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai, Hawaii (right) sounds like the place to be: Reese Witherspoon, Meg Ryan, Britney Spears, Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz have been spotted there.

The Parrot Cay resort in Turks and Caicos has attracted Bruce Willis, Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, Sandra Bullock and Robert DeNiro.

The article claims that the next hot spot will be The Cove Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. John Travolta has already been there.
