A nice article in the Sydney Morning Herald called "In the wake of Britney" about the celebrity favourite Turtle Island.
Apparently Britney, K-Fed and Jessica Simpson have all stayed there. But don't let that put you off.
The idyllic island was the setting for both the 1949 and 1980 Blue Lagoon films and hosts just 14 couples at any one time. It's not cheap, of course:
A six-night minimum stay operates at Turtle Island, costing from $US1,632 ($A1,898) per night plus government taxes. A round-trip seaplane flight from Nadi is an extra $US790 ($A919) per couple. Children are only permitted at limited times of year - it is couples only for the remainder.

So, just how does the average multi-billionaire keep the paparazzi at arm’s length on his wedding day? If you’re Google co-founder Larry Page you simply ask a pal if you can borrow his island.
Page, 34, America’s fifth-richest man with a fortune £9.1bn, took over Necker Island, owned by fellow-billionaire Sir Richard Branson, to wed 27-year-old Stanford University student Lucinda “Lucy” Southworth at the weekend.
At one point the guest list was set to include both Bill and Hillary Clinton, a couple of George Bushes, Leonardo Di Caprio and Johnny Depp. Former presidential hopeful Al Gore had to decline – the small matter of collecting a Nobel Peace Prize in Stockholm got in the way.
Taking over the island for the three-day bash cost an estimated £500,000 – it’s uncertain whether or not that included the entertainment - U2’s Bono and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Page’s Google partner Sergey Bin married Anne Wojcicki six months ago in an exclusive ceremony in the Caribbean.

Ooo matron. Could it be that Celebsonholiday favourites Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have turned their backs on multi-million dollar private residences? According to our chums over at Celebitchy, the two lovebirds were allegedly spotted on a flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles, "sharing" the loo and snuggling together in Reese's reclining seat. Their sources say:
“Reese and Jake kissed and cuddled together under a blanket in her recliner seat in the back row,” the eyewitness adds.Three hours into the 12-hour flight, Reese got up and walked to the forward bathroom. “Two minutes later, Jake got up and casually strolled into the same bathroom! I started timeing them - they were together for a full 11 minutes!” says the eyewitness.
Jake finally came out alone, and Reese followed three minutes later, the eyewitness adds - “and when they each walked by, it seemed like everyone in their entourage took pains to look away!”
For the rest of the flight, “Jake worked on his laptop, and then he and Reese took a nap side by side.”
