Legendary actor and director, Robert De Niro, and hotelier/developer Ira Drukier, are set to open their new venture, The Greenwich Hotel, on April 1 2008.
About the Greenwich
- 88 rooms
- 13 suites
- Two duplex suites, each with a 30-foot skylight, chef’s kitchen, two master bedrooms with two bathrooms, stone fireplaces, and offices with separate access
- Shibui Spa, with a lantern-lit pool and four treatment areas

The Greenwich also has a 2500 square foot penthouse, complete with two master bedrooms, skylit dining room, and a media complex which opens to a large duplex roof top garden with private hot tub and wonderful views of the city and Hudson River.
De Niro is quoted as saying:
Our goal with the Greenwich was to create a space that would serve guests more as a residence than a hotel; a place for people whose sense of home combines sophistication and authenticity.”“We’re very happy with the balance of comfort and craftsmanship that came together with the completion of the property and we’re confident that it offers a rare hospitality experience.”
