Movie star Matthew McConaughey was robbed of his cellphone and $2,000 (£1,000) in cash during a recent surfing trip to Nicaragua, according to malefirst.co.uk.
Allegedly, the thieves struck while the actor was passed out in his hotel room after a drinking session at a bar in San Juan Del Sur.
Apparently the actor had stood on a table earlier in the evening and asked fellow patrons to "help him find his flip flops". He was then escorted back to his hotel room by drinking buddies who forgot to lock the door when they left.
Sources said that:
"Matt didn't report the robbery to the local authorities. I guess he just considered it a lesson learned".
