Wayne Rooney is reportedly furious with team-mate Rio Ferdinand for not showing up at his and Coleen's exclusive Portofino wedding, despite them forking out £100,000 for him and his wife Rebecca to be there.

So where was he? Holidaying in Tel Aviv and staying at Intercontinental's David Tel Aviv hotel with brother Anton and ex-Leeds player, Jody Morris.

According to the Intercontinental David Tel Aviv website

InterContinental David Tel Aviv combines the magic of a beachfront promenade with the winding "SoHo" streets of the city's most fashionable neighbourhood. The central business district, Jaffa, Ilana Goor Museum and Nahalat Binyamin Market are within a short walk. Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Suzanne Dellal Centre are superb cultural experiences.

The hotel has 555 Guest Room and 39 Suites

About Tel Aviv

Situated on Israel's Mediterranean coastline, Tel Aviv has been called "the city that never sleeps". Likened by visitors to Barcelona, Tel Aviv enjoys hot summers and cold winters, has 14 km of coastline, and is home to museums, theatres and cultural centres so there's something for everyone.
