Ben Fogle is reported to be seriously ill after contracting a flesh-eating virus while filming in Peru.
The 34-year-old travel presenter and adventurer had returned from filming BB2's Extreme Dreams in which Fogle gives five members of the public the chance to travel to and conquer some of the world's most extreme environments.
Speaking to the BBC, Fogle said "After 13 expeditions to remote parts of the world, I would consider myself lucky. This is the first time I'm ill,"
Fogle, who shot to fame after taking part in the BBC's reality show Castaway, will undergo his treatment at London's Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
