Ooo, these celebs love a good grand hotel opening and by all accounts the party to celebrate the opening of Atlantis Palm Jumeirah resort in Dubai is reported to be the most lavish ever thrown.
Costing £20m, the grand opening of the Atlantis Palm had a performance from Kylie Minogue and a bigger fireworks display than the Beijing Olympics which cost £7m and could be seen from space.
And given that celebs didn't have to pay a bean for travel or accommodation, the list of those in attendance was unsuprisingly impressive:
Lindsay Lohan with moody beau Samantha Ronson, Robert De Niro (with wife Grace Hightower), Charlize Theron with boyfriend Stuart Townsend, Mischa Barton, Denzil Washington, Mischa Barton, Yash Chopra, Mary Kate Olsen and Wesley Snipes.
Pop stars included Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia and Janet Jackson and stars from the world of sport included Michael Jordan and Boris Becker; British celebrities included jade Jagger, Daisy Lowe, Agyness Deyn with boyfriend Albert Hammond Jr, Lily Allen, Dame Shirley Bassey, Yasmin Le Bon, and Sarah Ferguson Duchess of York
The rumoured room allocation is interesting though; allegedly Lindsay Lohan and Charlize Theron were at the top of the pecking order with the Lost Chamber Suites.
Lindsay's missus wasn't quite so lucky though; despite dj-ing at the event, grumpy ole Ronson was not allowed to share Lohan's sumptious suite and was instead relegated to a bog-standard guest room. Shame.
